How to Get from Singapore Changi Airport to Network School

Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) is the most popular arrival point for Network School members. The journey from Changi to Forest City is approximately 60 to 90 minutes depending on traffic and border crossing wait times. The route takes you from Singapore across the Johor-Singapore Causeway or the Second Link bridge into Malaysia, then to Forest City on the southern coast of Johor. The journey involves crossing an international border, which means you will go through Singapore exit immigration and Malaysian entry immigration. Most nationalities receive a 90-day visa-free entry stamp for Malaysia.

The most convenient option is booking a Grab from Changi Airport directly to Forest City. Download the Grab app before your trip and set up your account with a payment method. At Changi, follow signs to the ride-hailing pickup point. Book a GrabCar and enter your Forest City destination. The fare is typically $40 to $70 SGD depending on demand and time of day. The Grab driver will handle the border crossing, though you will need to exit the car at both immigration checkpoints to clear customs with your passport. After clearing Malaysian immigration, you continue to Forest City. This is the most door-to-door option.

A cheaper option is to take a bus from Singapore to Johor Bahru and then a Grab from JB to Forest City. Several bus services run from various points in Singapore to JB Sentral or Larkin Terminal. CW1 and Causeway Link are popular bus operators. The bus fare is a few dollars SGD, making this significantly cheaper than a direct Grab. However, the bus can be slow during peak hours due to causeway congestion, and you will need to handle your luggage through two immigration checkpoints on foot. The Johor-Singapore Causeway is one of the busiest border crossings in the world. Traffic can be extreme during peak hours, particularly Friday evenings and Sunday evenings. If your flight arrives during peak times, consider waiting at Changi or timing your departure to avoid the worst congestion.
