Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC): How to Fill It Out

The Malaysia Digital Arrival Card is an online form that replaced the old paper arrival card. All foreign visitors entering Malaysia must complete it before arrival. The form collects basic personal information, travel details, and accommodation address. It is free to fill out and can be completed up to three days before your arrival. You submit it through the official MDAC website or the MyBorderPass app. After submission you receive a confirmation that you should save as a screenshot or PDF, though immigration officers can also look up your submission digitally.

Have the following ready before you start: your passport number and expiry date, your flight details or entry point, your accommodation address in Malaysia, and a contact number. For Network School members, the accommodation address is the Forest City address in Gelang Patah, Johor. Use your NS confirmation email for the exact address to enter. You will also need to declare any health conditions or medications if prompted. The form takes about five minutes to complete if you have everything prepared in advance.

Visit the MDAC portal and select your nationality. Enter your passport details exactly as they appear in your travel document, including your full name in capital letters. Select your port of entry, which will be either Singapore Changi if you are transiting through Singapore by land, or Senai Airport if flying directly to Johor. Fill in your accommodation details using the Network School address. Review all fields carefully since errors can cause delays at immigration. Submit the form and save your confirmation number.

The most common error is mismatching your name with what appears in your passport. Use your full legal name exactly as printed. Another frequent issue is selecting the wrong entry point. If you are flying into Singapore and then crossing by land, your entry point is the land border checkpoint, not the airport. Also ensure your passport has at least six months of validity from your entry date, as Malaysia enforces this requirement.
