NS Basic costs $1,500 per month and places you in a shared room with one other member. The rooms are in furnished apartments within the Forest City development, and they include basic amenities like air conditioning, a bed, and storage space. You share the apartment's common areas, kitchen, and bathroom with your roommate. Beyond the room, NS Basic includes everything else: all meals, gym, coworking, courses, events, sauna, cold plunge, laundry, and a SIM card. The vast majority of members choose NS Basic, and the shared room situation is generally manageable for stays of one to three months.

What You Get With NS Pro

NS Pro costs $3,000 per month and gives you a private room. You still share the apartment's common areas with other NS members, but your bedroom is yours alone. This means you have more control over your sleep environment, personal space, and daily routine. NS Pro members report better sleep quality and more flexibility for late-night work or early mornings without disturbing a roommate. All other benefits are identical to NS Basic. You get the same meals, facilities, courses, and community access.

Who Should Choose Which

NS Basic is the right choice for most first-time members, especially those staying one to two months. The shared room encourages social connection and is perfectly adequate for a short-term stay. NS Pro makes more sense if you are planning a longer stay of three months or more, if you have a demanding remote work schedule that requires privacy, if you are a light sleeper, or if your budget comfortably accommodates the higher price. Some members start with NS Basic and switch to NS Pro for subsequent months after deciding to extend their stay.

The Value Calculation

At $1,500 per month, NS Basic is roughly $50 per day for housing, three meals, gym, workspace, and programming. That is difficult to beat anywhere in the world for that combination of services. NS Pro at $3,000 per month is $100 per day, which is still competitive with independent living costs in many cities when you factor in food, gym, and coworking. The question is whether privacy is worth $1,500 per month to you personally. You can apply at ns.com and select your preferred tier during the application process.

I did NS Basic for month one and upgraded to Pro for months two and three. The shared room was great for making friends fast, but I needed my own space for the longer haul.
